We’ll guide you on your journey into better health with a medical check from £499
As we get older it becomes more important to take preventative steps to maintain good health. Our Lifestyle Clinic aims to give you a complete picture of your physical and mental health and wellbeing.
Once you’ve booked your appointment either online, by email or by phone we’ll send you a pre assessment questionnaire for completion before your first appointment.
Initially on arrival at the clinic you will be seen by our one of our Nurses. They will take measurements of your height weight, BMI, Waist measurement and other measures of health such as percentage body and visceral fat.
An ECG (heart tracing) is performed next and a large panel of bloods taken. We ask to send a sample of urine for analysis also. The results of which will be available within a couple of days.
Then you will spend about 45 minutes with the Consultant who will take you through a Lifestyle Assessment. Questions around dietary intake and exercise, sleep patterns and duration, plus mental wellbeing as well as family history and own health conditions. Finally a routine external examination is performed.
A second appointment is then made at your convenience to discuss all the results and suggestions for optimising your health going forwards.
You will then receive a copy of all your results and ECG along with a covering letter with recommendations and a booklet explaining everything.
We may suggest a 6 month follow up appointment with certain blood tests repeated to assess the outcome of any changes you may have made.
In certain circumstances it may result in referral onwards to other specialists or back to your own GP.
For your first appointment please do not consume food or drink for six hours beforehand. Please do make sure you stay hydrated by drinking water. Please don’t smoke for at least thirty minutes before your appointment. Please don’t take part in strenuous exercise for forty-eight hours before your appointment.
