Dr Vincent Yip graduated from the University of Liverpool Medical School in 2008. He completed his Foundation and NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship training programmes in the Mersey Deanery. Following this he was awarded an MRC Clinical Fellowship and completed his PhD in Pharmacogenetics of Severe Cutaneous Adverse Drug Reactions at the University of Liverpool. He completed his clinical training in Dermatology and Clinical Pharmacology as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer combining academic and clinical training.
As part of this pathway he also completed a one year fellowship at GSK (GlaxoSmithKline) R&D in Stevenage. Dr Yip is currently employed as a substantiative Consultant in Dermatology and Clinical Pharmacology at NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group. He is the Inflammatory lead for the Dermatology service and Associate Director for the NIHR Liverpool Clinical Research Facility.
He also undertakes a weekly Paediatric Dermatology clinic at Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Dr Yip has published papers and presented at national and international conferences. He undertakes active clinical research. He teaches medical students at the University of Liverpool and Masters students at UCL and University of Bangor.
He has clinical experience in skin cancer, skin surgery, inflammatory dermatology and clinical trials in both adult and paediatric dermatology patients.
